I was born and raised in Rochester, NY. I’ve always felt there is something so special about supporting someone through the difficult times of their life, helping them process difficult experiences from the past, or helping them to move closer to the life they want to live. Therefore, in pursuit of doing this work I got both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Rochester. I graduated with my PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2008.
My experience includes, but is not limited to PTSD/trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief and loss, life stress/transitions, anger management, sleep issues, and self-esteem issues. I have training in Internal Family Systems Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I am trained and certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure Therapy. My work is extremely client centered. Should you reach out to me, we will meet for a few sessions so I can get to know you, as well as better understand your struggles and how you are hoping to improve your life. I can then share more about various approaches and we can decide together what will be the best fit for you, which will often be a combination of approaches. Most importantly, I will work to help provide an environment where you feel heard, safe and like you can be yourself and share all parts of yourself.
